Eric is a graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, Lamar University and Oklahoma City University Law School where he graduated in 1997. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association. Eric is licensed to practice before the United States District Court and the Supreme Court of Texas.

He is married to the former Becca Mathews and has three children. Eric is an avid sports buff and assists his wife in her coaching duties.
